About Me

I am a qualified Psychotherapeutic Counsellor and work from a designated room in my home. I am married with two young adult children and have experienced many of my own deep waters and challenges throughout life. The result of this, I think, enables you to have a deeper sense of care, understanding, respect and genuine empathy for the very individual challenges we all go through, usually through no fault of our own, but purely because of the waves that life throws at us. With the right support and a safe place to be truly heard and understood, healing can happen and big shifts in our outlook, thinking patterns and behaviours can take place. This is what I hope to help you navigate. I work in a person-centred way, integrating different skills and techniques that are best suited for your own individual needs and challenges.

I spent 3 years volunteering at The Hummingbird Centre, in Bicester, a drop-in centre and charity for anyone affected by cancer, working with those either suffering themselves, supporting a loved one or grieving the loss of someone close to them due to cancer.

I hold the following qualifications:

  • Certificate in Hypnotherapy and Counselling Skills - Cert Hyp CS

  • Diploma in Counselling Skills and Theory - Dip CST

  • Advanced Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling - Ad Dip Psy C

  • Professional Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling Practice - Prof.Dip Psy C.

I am a registered member with the National Counselling Society (NCS) and the Association of Christian Counsellors (ACC) and abide by their Code of Ethics at all times.

Outside of therapy, I love relaxing with a cup of green tea and a book, love cats, cosy nights in, watching films, spending time with my husband and family, travelling and exploring different places and I am definitely a warmer climate kind of person!
